i prefer to be armed
with flowers and compassion,
but sometimes i am
chaos and wrath;
usually i am a dream but sometimes
i become the nightmare—
can be the butterfly or the moth
or any monster beyond or between
transformation is something that
comes easily to me,
and i prefer not to be tricky
but sometimes i revel
in fooling fools;
something i fear i may have inherited
from my father: loki—
so go ahead and roll the dice
you need more than initiative
to defeat me,
immortal daughter of the moon i am both
tranquil waters and a hurricane
wrapped in the bones of a woman
that is both full of depths and a shadow
all at once;
i will disappear or appear at will
and my only purpose is to destroy you
for all you’ve taken.
